Look who’s talking… Drones

In a media release by the Civil Aviation Authority, they state that A review of the South African Aircraft Register over a 12-month period shows a dramatic increase in the number of registered remotely piloted aircraft systems, commonly known as drones, from 216 in January 2016, to 465 in January 2017.

Realising the importance and need for insurance for these drone operators, Bryan and iTOO developed the first stand-alone commercial drone insurance product to the South African insurance market.

The South African Civil Aviation Authority is clamping down on rogue Commercial Drone operators who have or are currently flouting the Civil Aviation Act.” Says Bryan.

Bryan will also explain why these operators are uninsurable, notwithstanding that they may have practical flight experience. He will also address local dispensation for foreign operators and the 5 phase process in becoming operationally compliant.

The forum will be taking place at the Norton Rose Fulbright Auditorium in Johannesburg.
