Our African Footprint
With over 35 years of combined experience in Africa, iTOO Africa focuses on specialty insurance cover and emerging risks across the continent.
To us, “local is best”, and we have in-country underwriting experts in targeted territories, including Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique, Ghana and Kenya. We’re also able to write risks on a reinsurance basis in Lesotho, Swaziland, Mauritius, Uganda and Tanzania. Where iTOO does not have a licensed partner, we partner with the best insurers in that particular country.
We’re continuously improving the way we do business based on local market experiences and regulatory standards, and we actively seek out opportunities that will further grow and enhance these insurance markets while also bettering society. In doing so, we’re able to offer solutions that are truly a win-win for all involved.

The majority of our main specialist insurance lines are available across our African footprint and include General Liability, Professional Indemnity, Medical Malpractice, Cyber and Financial Lines insurance. Because each country has its own local market needs and specifications, we also offer an additional specialised bouquet of insurance products in each location – including Environmental Liability, Political Violence, Kidnap & Ransom and Events Liability. We underwrite and market these core products, and we handle all complex claims in partnership with our in-country licence partners.

We’re firmly and deliberately focused on the SME space within Africa, where we have developed simplified products. Within the large commercial and corporate sectors, we specialise in risks within certain key sectors and industries core to each economy. Our growth strategy includes launching our insta-quote products which makes taking up an iTOO policy simple. We are also launching our SME all-in-one liability product, SureThing, across various markets.
