What is Hole in One Insurance?
It is the most popular type of Prize Indemnity. If a golfer makes a hole-in-one on a designated hole during a tournament, they win a big prize (like a car or cash), and the insurance policy indemnifies the sponsor or organiser for the payout. The insurance cover is aimed at event or golf day organisers, tournament hosts or sponsors of golfing events and covers their contractual liability to award a winning prize.

Is video footage required for verification of the hole-in-one?
Video footage (via mobile phone or any camera recording device of your choice) is only required for prize values R400 000 and higher.
Can we cover all the golfers involved in a Pro-Am golf tournament?
No professionals or semi-professionals are eligible for the hole-in-one prize. We only cover amateurs.
Do you cover unique golfing concepts, that are not your typical hole-in-one challenge?
We can review these concepts under Prize Indemnity. These risks would not be fit for the DigiEase platform.
What are the subjectivities that must be observed once the cover is placed?
On the day of hole-in-one challenge, the insured must ensure that there are two independent witnesses, each player only has one attempt, no practice shots are allowed, and neither are favourable pin positions. Should someone get a hole-in-one on the day, the golf club must issue a certificate or confirmation.
