Now used as two-dimensional barcodes that can be read and understood by mobile devices and their general ease of use and ability to rapidly transfer information to the user. The huge upswing in online shopping across the globe during the COVID-19 pandemic, coupled with the proliferation of smartphone use over the past few years, has spurred massive adoption of QR codes.

Now more than ever, there seems to be a rise in security risks and cyberattacks for individuals and businesses.
