A few months ago, terms such as “social distancing”, “self-quarantine” and “you’re on mute” became every day vocabulary.
The pandemic pushed many into “survival mode”, and we continued to adapt with resilience. We have come to learn in the early stages of Lockdown, from Winston Churchill, to “never let a good Crisis go to waste”.
As businesses began to work from home, connect digitally, we’ve also had to adapt and innovate our expert offering to ensure solutions that are relevant to our brokers and policy holders.
This period has allowed us to test, push and innovate around the use of technology and as a result, we have managed to launch weekly webinars in the early stages of lockdown, in March 2020. These on-going online sessions are aimed at keeping in touch with our brokers and ensuring them expert service they are used to.
iTOOsday which takes place every Tuesday at 10am, arms brokers with the relevant product training to put them in a better position to continue advising and serving clients. These online broker experiences allow brokers to continue to earn their annual Continuous Professional Development (CPD) hours.
With the need to explore and do things differently, we have had to keep empowering and engaging with our brokers even on a social basis. On Fridays, we have social gatherings that are aimed at bringing people together digitally and ensuring they are still connected. Amongst the many sessions, we have hosted a cooking class, a musical concert and photography exhibition. This has assisted both brokers and clients to cope under the current stressful circumstances.
We commend our brokers for thriving, disrupting the status quo and stepping confidently from this crisis into the new norm. For this reason, we will be hosting iTOO Broker Awards, where we will be recognising Brokers and Brokerages that have continued to make strides during this pandemic and most importantly to thank them for the on-going support of these webinars.
