Growing up, I always did a brush cut (the picture with short hair) mainly because it was a requirement to have short hair for my schooling years.

One day I decided I would just grow out my hair. After a few months, I came up with the genius idea to see what my hair would look like with dreadlocks, but of course the journey to dreadlocks does not start off looking very attractive in the beginning. Many people around me thought it was a bad idea and I must say, I was almost willing to quit, but I’m glad I didn’t though. The longer my dreadlocks grew, the more I fell in love with them and soon I became adventurous with hair colour and styles.

Fast forward to the present and I am so happy I decided to go this route.

My HAIRitage is an expression of who I am, it breaks stereotypes, and it sparks conversation which I gladly welcome. Plus, it transformed me into a cool kid.
